Who Are We?

When Two became one…

Initially there were 2 companies namely Magna International Movers which was established in 1976 by Dave Buchanan and Thomson International Movers which was established in May 1987 by Robin and Trevor Thomson. These people all had many years of experience in the removals service industry and aimed to establish a company involved exclusively in domestic and overseas moving, storage and fine art packing. 

In 2008 these two companies combined their many years of expertise and knowledge and  merged to form a company called Magna-Thomson International Movers (Pty) Ltd.

Today Magna-Thomson in South Africa has offices based in Johannesburg, Durban and Cape Town and a Sales office in Pietermaritzburg. We can collect and pack from anywhere in South Africa and have shipped hundreds of families’ household goods all over the world.
