Operations during the COVID-19 lockdown
Following the nationwide lockdown announced on the 23 March 2020, Magna-Thomson has put measures in place to ensure that we can continue to serve you through these next weeks.
While all person-to-person activities have been suspended until the lockdown is lifted, we are still available to handle queries by phone or email and can provide quotes with virtual tools.
If you are pre-move
- Your move coordinator will contact you to reschedule if your move is due to take place before 01 May.
- If you’re waiting for a quote, you can expect it shortly.
If you are mid-move
Your shipment may be affected. Owing to reduced freight services (sea and air) and a shortage of empty containers, shipping companies are currently operating with reduced capacity. This could result in delays of several weeks, changes in freight rates (sea and air), and additional unforeseen costs for warehouse handling and storage.
Magna-Thompson stands behind the measures enacted to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. However, we also continue to stand behind our customers and will take every step possible to ensure their moves run smoothly.
